Hiroko Heidegger

For quite some time it was a bit silent on this blog. Not because I lacked ideas to write about or the community became unimportant for me. I’ve spent a lot of extra time on the weekends and in the evenings to organize my (as for now) most intense event: The marriage with my lovely fiancée Hiroko Kadoike.

The Japanese philosophy has fascinated me from rather young age in shape of games, Aikidō, calligraphy, manga or books. Allured by fantastic ideas I was seduced to my first international trip to Japan 3½ years ago. During this travel, in a city far away from common tourist places, I’ve met Hiroko, a world traveling, charming and heart warming woman who has the gift of the heart-to-heart talk (unlike many Japanese), curiosity for new things and a never-ending stream of creativity.

For some odd reason I’ve seemed to be interesting enough to catch her tension so much that she has left her job and her country for our relationship. This step is so huge that I am still impressed by it. The following three years were shaped by intercultural studies, ups and downs, big changes as well as small ones until I was convinced that she is the one to stay and I asked her to marry me.

The last weekend we finally gathered as many of my family and friends as we could in Bregenz and celebrated our marriage in a light but wonderful way. The perfect weather was only trumped by the sheer beauty of my wife.

I am grateful my dear, that you chose to stand by my side. I will certainly give my best on your side.
